FWICE appeals to PM Modi to honour Satish Shah with Padma Shri

Reportedly, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has made an emotional appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to honour veteran actor Satish Shah with the prestigious Padma Shri award posthumously.

According to the Federation representing 36 affiliated associations of the film and television industry, the move would be a fitting tribute to the actor’s remarkable career and an indelible mark in Indian entertainment Industry.
Satish Shah was a rare and gifted artist who brought joy to millions.

The FWICE’s letter to Prime Minister Modi, expressed deep esteem for Shah’s legacy, writing, “Respected Modiji, with folded hands and deep respect, we, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), humbly appeal to kindly consider in honouring Satish Shah with the Padma Shri Award (posthumously) He was one of India’s most beloved and distinguished actors.”

The letter heaped praises on Satish Shah as “a rare and gifted artist whose work brought joy, laughter, and emotion to millions across nation.” It further notes his memorable performances in ‘
‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi’, ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, and several other memorable projects that turned him into a household name.
