Shah Rukh Khan opens up on his upcoming film “King”
At a fan event in a Mumbai auditorium on his birthday on 2 November, Shah Rukh Khan interacted with fans like never before.
This was the day when the much-awaited peek of his upcoming film, “King” went viral on the internet. Notably, at this fan event, SRK shared interesting details about King and also ended up talking about with whom he will share screen space.
And it is none other than the Chennai Express Meenamma Deepika Padukone. He credits Siddharth Anand for helping him shape his mass avatar in Jawan. He understood he (SRK) want to create new kind of MACHO hero
Shah Rukh Khan went on to say that he doesn’t want to disclose too much of the story of King. Once more and more assets come up, you’ll know more about the film. There are several characters in the film. The idea behind the film is that they end up taking big decisions when ending up taking things personally. They should think whether what they are doing is right or not.
He continued, “Also, they aren’t going to take any sides in King. If their thought is liked then do follow it.
At this point, a fan from the audience said that they have a lot of love
for Shah Rukh Khan. Then SRK shot back “Mere saath film mein Deepika Padukone bhi hai. Pyaar toh zaroor hoga!”
Later, he also extolled Siddharth Anand, who directed him in Pathaan released in 2023 and who also helms King. SRK said, that “Siddharth is a very, well organized director and he learned a lot. He didn’t know how to play an action hero before that. He (SRK) has done a couple of action films, but when a director directs you and tells you certain things while you are trying to do a scene, you have to be smart enough to understand and take it from him.
He went on to add that he has never done ‘hero-hero’ massy films; maybe Karan Arjun released in 1995. Baazigar released in 1993 was a very evil character. Hence, whatever Sid told him, he imbibed that. As a matter of fact, it helped him do what he did in Jawan rekeased in 2023. They have become friends now as they have been working for twenty-four years. What also transpired is that Sid understood how he would like to create a new kind of macho hero. Also, he’s a very aesthetic director. He’s wonderfully aesthetic. Sid makes a good film.
