Notably, actress and singer Iulia Vantur scripted history by emerging as the first Indian to sing Bollywood song
“Teri Meri Prem Kahani” from the film Bodyguard at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall in front of the Pope and other dignitaries.

The historic occasion exquisitely brought art, religion, and culture together. The moment marked a significant milestone for India on the international scene.
It was a part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the historic declaration of the Second Vatican Council that encourages interfaith understanding, communication, and solidarity. Thousands of people from all over the world, including dignitaries, artists, and religious leaders, came together for the event in a spirit of unity and peace.

Talking about the meeting, she said, “Meeting the Pope was an experience beyond words. His presence radiates warmth and kindness. It filled her with gratitude and a deep sense of calm, and reminded her that true faith lies in compassion, humility, and human connection.”
