Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar longest film yet

It’s learned that the veteran actor Ranveer Singh starrer “Dhurandhar” is touted as the most lengthy film as yet. The running time seems to be over
3-hours and as per the makers the running time will be locked amid next ten-days. The film is Ranveer Singh’s
most ambitious projects.

A source close to the film’s post-production development reveals that director Aditya Dhar is crafting an expansive narrative. “Dhurandhar has a vast and expansive storyline. The focus is on Ranveer Singh’s character and what he goes through, while other actors also play crucial parts. Director is clear that he doesn’t want to rush through the narrative but, at the same time, wants to ensure that every scene engages and excites the audience.”

The source further added that the film’s final longest running time be decided jointly by Aditya Dhar, Jio Studios and B62 Studios in the coming days. Whether the film will retain its hefty runtime or undergo trimming remains to be seen.
Dhurandhar will surpass every previous Ranveer Singh film in terms of length. His longest film so far,
Dil Dhadakne Do ran for two hours and 51 minutes. This was closely followed by Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which had a runtime of two hours and 48 minutes. Other lengthy titles in his filmography include 83 and Padmaavat both clocking in at two hours and 43 minutes.
In sharp contrast, his shortest feature remains Kill Dil with a runtime of just one hour and 57 minutes. Dhurandhar is poised to mark a new extreme on the opposite end of that spectrum.
Dhurandhar is said to be inspired by real-life events and is set against the world of cross-border intelligence operations. The story reportedly positions Ranveer Singh at the very centre of a high-stakes narrative, demanding extensive screen time for both character development and dramatic escalation.
The film boasts a powerhouse ensemble cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal, each said to play crucial roles in the story’s multi-layered structure
The Dhurandhar trailer, initially supposed to drop on November 15, was deferred following the tragic blast at Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10. The makers are expected to announce the new trailer date soon.
Regardless the delay, the film’s theatrical release date remains unchanged. Dhurandhar hits theatres on December 5 where it will test both its narrative heft and audience patience — in the best, most cinematic way possible.
