If reports are to be believed Veteran actor Salman Khan will make a special appearance in the Sunny Deol starrer
“Gabru”.
Notably, Sunny staged a powerful comeback with the colossal success of Anil Sharma directorial‘Gadar 2’ in 2023. He impressed audiences again with ‘Jaat’ in 2025. Fans are anxiously waiting to his upcoming projects, starting with ‘Border 2’, scheduled for Republic Day release in 2026. Shortly after he will feature in ‘Gabru’, an emotionally charged drama directed by Shashank Udapurkar and produced by Vishal Rana.
Salman Khan’s extended role and friendship with Sunny Deol
He had quietly shot the film more than a year ago and it has shaped up well. It is adorable and also highly entertaining. He has 3 scenes in total and hence, it’s an extended special appearance. Interestingly, both Salman and Sunny share a very close bond they have worked together only once, in ‘Jeet’ 1996. They were also a part of ‘Heroes’ released in 2008 but they never shared screen space in the war film. This also gave Salman another reason to sign ‘Gabru’.
On the work front, Salman Khan is all set for an action-packed 2026 with multiple exciting roles lined up. Besides his special appearance in ‘Gabru’ set to release on March 13, he will also feature in ‘Raja Shivaji’, where he portrays Jeeva Mahala, a trusted warrior of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, played by Riteish Deshmukh. ‘Raja Shivaji’ is slated for a May 1 release.
Additionally, Salman takes the lead in ‘Battle of Galwan’, a much-anticipated war drama expected in the first half of 2026.
