Zeenat Aman celebrates her 74th birth anniversary

Zeenat Aman rang in her 74th birthday on Wednesday 19 November.
The Veteran actress didn’t just act in films, but transformed the way we saw Hindi cinema.

The actress’s journey began early, when she won the Femina Miss India pageant in 1970. Even at that young age, she carried a quiet confidence and individuality that set her apart. She stepped into the glamour world with the actor-turned filmmaker OP Ralhan’s Hulchul in 1971, and from there, there was no looking back. With hits like Yaadon Ki Baarat, Dhund, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Prem Shastra, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Ajnabee, she emerged as one of the most talked-about stars of the 70s.

Notedly, it was her willingness to break stereotypes that ruly made Zeenat an iconic star. She embraced bold, modern roles at a time when very few actresses dared to. Her Western-inspired style, her effortless charm, and her ability to bring depth to offbeat characters made her a trendsetter long before the word became popular.
