Borivali West traders protest against street vendor harassment and road barricades
It isn’t something new happening in Borivali West. The western suburb has turned out to be a nightmare for businessmen and public in general. The harassment by the street vendors and the placement of barricades has placed the business owners in the Indraprastha Shopping Centre to dire straits as they are deprived of operating their businesss comfortably amidst the illegal encroachments.
All the shops at the shopping centre pulled down their shutters notwithstanding the loss to their business thereof. It’s their demand for a quick action by the concerned authorities.
In view of staging a strategically sound protest, association leaders addressed the gathering, calling for a permanent solution to encroachments and road blockages. The traders hope that the concerned authorities will react and initiate speedy action over the issue.
