Rajinikanth steals show at IFFI finale, honoured for 50 years in cinema

The finale of the 56th International Film Festival of India held in Goa this year marked special for cinephiles as legendary actor Rajinikanth made a noticeable presence.
The legend’s film, his daughter Aishwarya”s directorial “Lal Salaam” was screened at the festival. His daughter also attended the screening and expressed her happiness over the premiere.
Rajinikanth was honoured for his
50-year cinematic journey.
Released in 2024, Lal Salaam is a Tamil-language sports action drama produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions.
In visuals posted on IFFI’s official Instagram handle, Rajnikanth could be spotted waving at the fans.

Earlier this year,
Prime Minister Modi congratulated Rajinikanth on completing 50 years of his cinematic journey.
In his post on X he wrote “Congratulations to Thiru Rajinikanth Ji on completing 50 glorious years in the world of cinema. His journey has been iconic, with his diverse roles having left a lasting impact on the minds of people across generations. Wishing him continued success and good health in the times to come.
