Union Minister Rajiv Rajan Singh to confers National Gopal Ratna Awards 2025 on National Milk Day
Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying Rajiv Rajan Singh conferred the National Gopal Ratna Awards 2025 on the occasion of National Milk Day in New Delhi.
Amidst the event, a series of key initiatives aimed at strengthening the livestock and dairy sectors was launched. These included the inauguration of Breed Multiplication Farms, the Launch of Guidelines for Minimum Requirements of Veterinary Infrastructure in India, and the Launch of Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2025, providing updated and comprehensive data for policy planning. The highlight of the event saw the
flagging off 20 National Programme for Dairy Development programme-assisted milk tankers of Mohali Milk Union Milk Federation. He further said that this significant initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving the dairy supply chain infrastructure and ensuring that farmers and consumers alike benefit from enhanced logistics and service delivery.
