Dharmendra breathed his last on 24th November 2025 at the age of 89 after battling a prolonged illness. As per reports, within just a few hours of his demise, his cremation was completed, a decision that has led to widespread speculation. Many fans expressed disappointment that they could not see their hero one last time. Other fans question whether the reason was some emotional pressure or an urgent compulsion.
Though he was under treatment at his residence after discharge from hospital
his health deteriorated on 24 morning. His mortal remains were quickly cremated. Most of his fans and welll wishers were deprived of having a last ‘darshan’ of the noble soul.
According to close family sources, the Deol household was completely devastated. Just days earlier, rumours of Dharmendra’s death had circulated online, causing distress to both the family and fans. Sunny Deol had even publicly expressed anger over those false reports.
Because of the family’s fragile emotional state, they were not in a condition to manage crowds, media presence, or lengthy rituals, and this could be a reason that only a very small circle, the immediate family, and a few close friends attended the funeral.
As per reports and sources, it was Dharmendra’s own wish; he reportedly wanted a simple, private ceremony, free from fanfare and crowds. Besides this, the other reason was crowd control. With Dharmendra’s major stardom, the chaos and crowd were inevitable. In fact, as soon as news of his passing broke, crowds began to gather outside his residence. To maintain privacy and avoid chaos, the family proceeded without delay.
