Actor Chandrachur Singh immersed in ancestral property dispute

Actor Chandrachur Singh, who shared for screen space with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Josh’, is reportedly immersed in ancestral property dispute in Aligarh.
Recently, the actor was spotted in Aligarh in connection with his ancestral property, a historic haveli and related assets linked to his lineage.

As per media reports Chandrachur alleges that certain family members are attempting to take unlawful possession of the property. Determined to protect what he believes is a rightful inheritance, he has initiated official proceedings to prevent any illegal encroachment.

The actor visited the district magistrate’s office in Aligarh accompanied by his mother Krishna Kumari Devi where he met
DM Sanjeev Ranjan. Amidst the meeting, the actor submitted documents laying out his claims and the current situation regarding the disputed property.Chandrachur has formally requested local administration to step in and ensure that no unauthorized takeover takes place.

Notably, Chandrachur Singh was one of the most promising faces of the 1990s and acknowledged for his works alongside Tabu, Preity Zinta, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Born into a politically and royally connected family, his father Baldev Singh served as an MLA from Khair, while his mother traces her roots to the royal family of Bolangir in Odisha.Chandrachur studied at The Doon School and St. Stephen’s College and initially aimed for a career in civil services before embarking into the acting arena.

His debut in ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ and his acclaimed performance turned the spotlight onto him. On the other hand, Chandrachur Singh was last seen ‘Bayaan’ a Bikas Ranjan Mishra directorial. He was also seen in the thriller ‘Cuttputli’ a remake of ‘Ratsasan’.
