
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Delhi on a two-day state visit to India for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit. At the Palam airport he was received by PM Modi with a hug. The two leaders then sat in the same car and left the airport. Amidst the visit, Putin will hold talks with PM Modi, focusing primarily on trade, investment, economy and defence.
President Droupadi Murmu will also receive him and host a state banquet. He is likely to be accompanied by senior officials from the Russian government as well as leading figures from the countryâs business community. Kremlin reacts to PM Modi receiving Putin at aircraft ramp
The Kremlin said that Prime Minister Modi’s move to receive President Vladimir Putin at the aircraft ramp was unexpected and had not been communicated to the Russian side in advance.
