Deols and Hema Malini to publish Dharmendra’s
anthology of poems
In his twilight years legend Dharmendra had discovered the poet in himself. And he vented his poetic thoughts constantly on paper and to close friends and family.
Now that he isn’t in this mortal world to see his poetic thoughts in print, It’s reliably learnt that legendary actor’s anthology of poems will be published by the Deols, wife Hema Malini and her daughters. It’s his dream project.
Dharmendra had once shared with the media that it started as a hobby…you know, penning down lines as they came to him in his solitary moments, and then it grew into something stronger, far more passionate. Writing poetry emerged as his junoon, his nasha.”
Dharam ji went on reveal how Lata ji loved his poems, “When they speak, she insists he recite his lines.”
In the midst of Dharmendra’s lifetime, his sons Sunny and Bobby, and daughters Esha and Ahana insisted that he publish his poems. But Dharmendra always felt he had many more lines of poems in his mind and heart to write before he could think of publishing them.
