Mother’s Day 2026 release of Neetu-Kapil starrer ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’
Kapil Sharma Neetu Kapoor starrer has been scheduled for Mother’sDay 2026 release.
Reportedly, ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’ was announced in April this year and fans have been waiting for its update over release.
The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. First-time director Ashish R Mohan recently shared that the shoot is close to completion, with the team planning for a Mother’s Day (May 10, 2026) or an April 2026 release.
Following an intensive 40-day schedule in Shimla, Mohan confirmed that only a few patchwork scenes remain, including the grand end-credit song as per media reports. Mohan recalled that these segments will be filmed in January and recalled an earlier interruption, saying,
they had shot a song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya in Shimla, but a one-day shoot was left because there were discussions about a possible conflict amid India and Pakistan.The concerns soon turned real when India launched strikes on Pakistan on May 7 under Operation Sindoor. For safety, the cast and crew were flown back to Mumbai immediately.
One of the most exciting parts of the film is its finale sequence. Mohan revealed that the end-credit song will feature 700 children from various schools in and around Shimla, alongside the full ensemble cast. “I will invite the entire cast for the final shoot, which may take place at the Golden Tobacco Factory or Film City. We also have a one-day scene pending with Riddhima,” he added.
A family comedy about a matriarch’s marriage
Currently in post-production, ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’ revolves around a lively family navigating the chaos and joy surrounding their matriarch’s decision to remarry. The film ensures a mix of humour, warmth, and emotional moments.
