Photographer captures SRK’s ‘Godfather’ filmmaker Aziz Mirza

Evolving from simpler origin a photographer’s attempt to capture two elderly joggers has now gone viral. One of the elderly jogger happened to be Shah Rukh Khan’s “Godfather” Aziz Mirza an influential filmmaker and an early mentor of Shah Rukh Khan.
The photographer had been documenting everyday life in Mumbai when he spotted two senior citizens strolling along a quiet stretch.

No sooner the clip was posted online, viewers instantly recognised him. Comments poured in, many identifying the veteran filmmaker known for shaping some of Shah Rukh Khan’s earliest career landmarkm
One user wrote, “He is Aziz Mirza, who introduced Shahrukh Khan. Director of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Yes Boss, Chalte Chalte and Phir Bhi Dil Hain Hindustani.”
Another noted, “Love how his friend still hyped him up at this age.”
Someone else commented, “97-98 ki age mein bhi itne young hai god bless them.”
Others were simply moved by the wholesome interaction. “Could not have watched anything better than this… Beautiful,” wrote a follower, while another jokingly added, “Left one looks like brad pitt.”

Aziz Mirza, now 78, is one of the most respected filmmakers of the 1990s and early 2000s. Long before Shah Rukh Khan emerged as Bollywood’s biggest superstar, Aziz Mirza played a pivotal role in his transition from television to mainstream cinema. The two first worked together on the beloved series Circus released in 1989–90, and later collaborated on films that defined the actor’s early career, including Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Yes Boss, Chalte Chalte, and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani.
