The ‘King’ spent this period carefully curating his next moves. Besides a special appearance in Aryan Khan’s show ‘The Ba**ds Of Bollywood’, SRK had no release. His next film ‘King’ is slated for 2026.
Ranbir Kapoor with ‘Ramayana’ Ranbir Kapoor dedicated most of 2025 to shoot large-scale projects like ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Love And War’. After the incredible success of ‘Animal’ in 2024, fans expected another release soon. However, besides a brief appearance in ‘ ‘The Ba**ds Of Bollywood’, Ranbir did not hit the big screens theatres this year. ‘Ramayana’ releases in Diwali 2026.
Alia Bhatt with ‘Alpha’
While she is among Bollywood’s most consistent performers, Alia also did not deliver a film in 2025. Following a busy 2024, Alia opted to slow down and only take on certain projects in 2025. Although it’s known she has several films coming up, cinephiles missed seeing her face on the silver screen in 2025.
Shraddha Kapoor with ‘Eetha’
In 2024, she was instrumental in the successful release of the film ‘Stree 2’ but in 2025 she did not have a theatrical release. Shraddha has opted to take the year “off” to read scripts and develop content-driven projects. She has also begun working on a new film, Laxman Utekar’s ‘Eetha’, based on the famous Lavani dancer, Vithabai Narayangaonkar. Her fans are anticipating her return to the big screen.
*Kareena Kapoor Khan with ‘Daayra’
Acknowledged for constantly reinventing herself, Kareena had no theatrical release in 2025. After ‘The Buckingham Murders’ in 2024, she signed Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Daayra’, co-featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is presently in development and is expected to hit the big screens in 2026, keeping fans hopeful.
