Naagin 7 fame actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, amid the escalating excitement on her return to the fiction space with the highly anticipated supernatural series Naagin 7 says there has been ongoing speculation about her undergoing cosmetic procedures. In an exclusive conversation with a news agency Priyanka eventually addressed the speculation and strongly called out trolls for judging and targeting people based on their appearance.
Priyanka went on to add that, all these things have been happening for a long time. She was on medication throughout last year and was given very heavy doses of antibiotics and most of the people aren’t aware that. It made her lose weight, but her fallce was bloated, even though people thought it was something else.
As for small things, that’s okay. Everyone has the right to enhance their looks, and that is completely her choice. If she applies kajal or wear lenses, people start thinking she has done something to her face. Guys, this is her face and it has its own personality. It’s just a little touch-up or makeup. If you break it down as makeup, people still end up saying something, and that’s not right.
When asked if troll comments affect her, she replied, “No, not at all. They don’t affect me. I choose not to let them.”
Voicing about trolls attacking and judging looks, she said, “What’s the problem in that? It’s your choice. It’s your face and it’s completely up to you. Even if someone thinks it’s bad, it’s still your call. So why do people feel the need to comment or worry about it? I agree that we are public figures, but sometimes people become very insensitive, and that shouldn’t happen. I still take it sportingly, but there are many people who can’t handle such comments.”
Priyanka further said, she wants to say one thing to everyone that there are certain aspects of appearance that you should never comment on. Only comment on something that can be fixed in ten seconds. If you say someone’s hair is messy, it can be fixed quickly. But commenting on someone’s height or body isn’t right. It’s wrong to comment on anyone’s appearance because it creates insecurity. She may not get impacted by it, but she knows many people do. They won’t say it out loud, but they feel it inside. She has friends who are short, and even though they don’t complain, she knows they struggle and feel conscious. That’s why such comments are not okay and people should stop doing this.
