Kriti Sanon has reportedly wrapped up work on her upcoming romantic comedy ‘Cocktail 2’, and is clearly enjoying the shift in tone. The actress recently described the atmosphere on set as “happy, positive, fun,” summing up the mood following weeks of shoot. The film is Homi Adajania’s directorial.
As per reports, Kriti had been craving a lighter project and wanted a movie like ‘Cocktail 2’, after ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, which was so intense and heavy. She also wanted to be in this light, fun, rom-com space. Amidst smile she said things fell in place at the right time.

The film sparked debate for its portrayal of toxic love, but Sanon remains deeply attached to her character Mukti. “Mukti has been one of my most layered characters to date,” she explained. “A lot is unspoken; a lot is implied between the lines and through the eyes. That’s where the character can come across as grey. But the fact that she is flawed makes her relatable.”
Reuniting with Kapoor also came with humor. “It was amazing working with Shahid, since I was a human being this time,” she joked, referencing her robotic role in their earlier film.
