Actress Alia Bhatt unites with Ranveer Singh in the upcoming thriller ‘Pralay’. This reunion comes following the incredible success of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
As per a recent media report, the actress is being eyed for the female lead in Pralay a Jay Mehta directorial.
As per sources, the Mehta’s first choice for the female lead is Alia Bhatt central to the narrative. She isn’t introduced as a love interest but, she challenges the hero’s ideas in a collapsing world. Who could wield that power better than Bhatt? She brings credibility. In a film this experimental, you need powerhouses and actors the audience’s trust.
Pralay is expected to mount the sets amid July and August 2026.
The film marks Jai’s feature directorial debut, following his
co-directorial of the critically acclaimed series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.
A tipster also revealed that Pralay will reimagine Mumbai in a devastated, near unrecognisable form, drawing inspiration from The Hunger Games.
