The world’s superstructure gets a Bollywood modification as ‘Badshah” Shah Rukh Khan produces this year’s show. Eight days of celebrations
kicks-off on December 31.
A light show and fireworks lit up the Burj Khalifa, the world’s superstructure, in the midst of New Year’s Eve celebrations in Dubai on January 1, 2025.
The Dubai’s super structure is among the best fireworks and light show on the planet—exploding around the Burj Khalifa. This year, the tower will have a Bollywood twist as Emaar Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, will master the spectacle, bringing Bollywood’s cinematic flavor to the festivities at the Burj Park.
Khan shares a close camaraderie with Emaar’s founder, Mohamed Alabbar. The global real estate titan Emaar Properties developed Burj Khalifa, downtown Dubai and the Dubai Marina, among other sites.
The New Year’s celebration will be the most elaborate to date, with eight days of events running from December 31 to January 7. Although an exact schedule of the January events has not been released, expect live acts, aerial displays and performances spread across downtown Dubai. Most of the shows would be free and open to the public. Amidst the week, a parade with floats and puppets will travel through parts of downtown.
The spectacular fireworks show around Burj Khalifa will remain the centerpiece, and attendant celebrations on December 31 will include live shows, music and multimedia visuals across downtown Dubai in the hours leading up to midnight.
