Mukesh Chhabra lauds Dharmendra’s ‘grace’ in “Ikkis” his last film

In the lead to the release of “Ikkis” on January 1st, the makers held a special screening of the movie in Mumbai on December 29. From Salman Khan to Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Rekha, several Bollywood stars made it to the special premiere. Casting director Also present at the premiere was casting director Mukesh Chhabra. enjoying the cinematic treat, he took to X to share his review,.he appreciated the cast and the director for the work. He made a special mention of Dharmendra in the review that melts hearts instantly.

In his review Mukesh says if it’s Dharmendra’s last film, it truly breaks his heart
Taking to X (formerly called Twitter), he expressed his views on the film. He started his review by lauding the movie for its honesty and then mentioned how dearly Dharmendra will be missed, as this was his final on-screen presence.
Adding that he just watched Ikkis — a film made purely from the heart. Gentle, honest storytelling that stays with you long after it ends. Dharmendra what grace, what depth. If this was his last film, it truly breaks the heart. He has left us with something intensely emotional and important. He will be wrote Chhabra.

He then continued his review by appreciating the rest of the cast for their efforts. He penned, “And Jaideep Ahlawat — hats off. He genuinely didn’t expect this..A warm welcome to Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia — both were beautiful on screen. Endearing eyes, lovely chemistry. Agastya’s innocence and sincerity truly shine. Special mention to Vivan Shah and Sikandar Kher for outstanding work.
And above all to Sriram Raghavan, the man, the master. Once again, a heartfelt film, told with honesty. Cinema that feels personal,” with this, he concluded his review of ‘Ikkis.’

‘Ikkis’ which hits the theatres on January 1, 2026, is a war drama which aims to bring the real heros on reel and is set around the Battle of Basantar amidst the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. It narrates an account of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee.
