Dharmendra urged fans to watch ‘Ikkis’ in final farewell

The legendary actor, widely acknowledged as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, delivered his final performance in the 1971 Indo-Pak war drama.

In a resurfaced interview, the late legend is seen requesting fans to watch the film as he beams with pride over working alongside director Sriram in the border-based project.
He said at the time, “One of his films, Ikkis, is releasing. Do make sure you watch it. It has been directed by Sriram. He is a very good director; he made Johnny Gaddaar. This is a border-based film, but it is also very touching and a very good film.”

The update comes after his son Sunny Deol shared a backstage video from the sets, showing Dharmendra shooting with the same energy.
Speaking to the cameras, Dharmendra said, “The film has been made in a very nice way, and thinks both India and Pakistan should see this picture. He is happily sad on the last day of shooting. I love you all. If he has made any mistakes, to please forgive him

For the unversed, Ikkis released theatrically on January 1, 2026, featuring Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra, and Asrani in key roles.
