Goyal.
Many protestors had political motives, not delivery partners.

He further shared videos alleging that Blinkit and Zomato delivery partners were stopped from working amidst the strike on Christmas and New Year Eve.
Adding he is all for peaceful protests against anything and everything. But violent protests and stopping others who want to work from working is not okay (proof attached),” he wrote on X.

In his X post he wrote, a number of these protestors were not even their delivery partners. They were agents of political interests, piggybacking on the narrative to gain political mileage.
In one of the videos that Goyal posted, a delivery partner showed how he had been assaulted. He showed injury marks on his leg and also said that his phone was broken.

Several social media users reacted to the tweet and commented on it. “Only in India does protesting against the gig economy mean beating up gig workers.
One user wrote that he will never forget what some of their forefathers who fought for India’s freedom said to him: they are drunk on the idea of freedom.” This unruly population is not mature enough for democracy.
