Sony Entertainment Television has ensured to take things a notch higher with its non-fiction slate of shows. While MasterChef will take over the weekday slot from Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, Wheel Of Fortune will soon hit the airwaves.
Sony TV is commanding attention with its reality shows like India’s Got Talent 11 and Indian Idol season 16. The singing reality show has been making waves, courtesy of the talented contestants. The channel is also buoyed by the success of Indian Idol 2025.
News comes to the fore that Sony Entertainment Television is working to enhance its non-fiction programming in a bid to introduce a series of new shows, including MasterChef India and Wheel of Fortune. Although fiction dramas have taken a backseat, non-fiction continues to remain the staple diet of the leading Hindi GEC. Indian Idol 16 continues to remain a top property for the channel and it wishes to take things to the next level by bringing in new guests and introducing spicy twists and turns.”
As the show reached its second stage, Indian Idol 16 locked in its Top 16 contestants, following the theatre round and platinum mic auditions.
