Raushni Srivastava opens up on “Kalika”

Granting that common genres like war, romance, and comedy dominate, actress Raushni Srivastava opted to be different by making a film on ‘mental abuse’ that conveys a definite message. Morever, Raushni Srivastava has made the film to sensitize awareness on how verbal and emotional abuse can affect mental health, a topic she felt was important to address.

Furthermore, Raushni Srivastava who has made KALIKA says that the film gave her a thousand emotions. It tested her patience, pushed her to outgrow her inner fears, and compelled her suppressed anger to surface so she could get things done. At one point, it almost broke her, but KALIKA rose within her. She believes the universe rewarded resilience, perseverance, and the refusal to give up by bringing it to the theatres.
