High handedness of traffic policemen towards a labourer

Ahead of India’s Republic Day,the city roads were as crowded as ever. An auto-rickshaw was moving through the traffic. Seated inside was a simply dressed young woman identified as Kavita. She looked visibly worried as she had to reach Raipur for her friend’s wedding.
She urged the driver “Brother, please drive faster as she was getting late for the wedding.”
The auto driver smiled and replied, sister,,
the road is very crowded, but don’t worry get you there in 10–15 minutes.
Up ahead, traffic was jammed. The driver stopped the auto to the side and Kavita stepped out to see what was going on.
Ahead, traffic policemen were misbehaving with a poor laborer.
“All your documents are fake. Pay ₹5,000 right now or I’ll issue a ₹20,000 challan,” one of the policemen threatened.
With folded hands, the laborer pleaded,
“Sir, all papers are original. He’s very poor. His family will be on the streets. From where will he get so much money?
The policeman ignored his words. When Kavita noticed this, her blood boiled. She stepped forward and asked,
“What are you people doing? Why are you harassing the auto driver?”
The policeman glared at her and said,
“Go and explain it to him, or you’ll end up in jail too.”
Kavita supported the laborer and said calmly,
“Brother, you leave from here. She will handle them. She was handcuffed and taken to the police station. Wonder how many people are there who show concern to a poor and helpless labourer.
