News comes to the fore that Aamir Khan is gearing up for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dadasaheb Phalke biopic directorial.

A source close to the production house reveals that the shoot for the biopic will
kick-off in March 2026. The project, which has been under consideration for several years, aims to bring Phalke’s story to a contemporary audience although maintaining historical depth. Reports indicate that ensuring the film’s authenticity and emotional relevance is a top priority for the production team.

The report further said that the script is expected to be finalised by February 2026. Aamir, meanwhile, is currently into promotion of “Happy Patel” produced by him and featuring Vir Das and Mithila Palkar in important roles.
