Once again the MNS Chief Raj Thackeray has
relit.the language debate in Maharashtra, putting Hindi at the center of his election campaign rhetoric.
In the midst of his address to the party party workers the MNS Chief stressed Marathi unity, warning that the state’s language, land, and identity are under threat. He said people from UP and Bihar should understand that Hindi is not their language adding that while he has no hatred toward any language, he will strongly oppose any attempt to impose it.
His remarks coming afore the BMC elections stirred political debate in Maharashtra, reviving long-standing tensions around language, identity, and regional pride.
