Ahan Shetty calls Sunny a ‘father figure’ afore Border 2 release,

Ahan Shetty, son of veteran actor Suniel Shetty expresses his reverence for the veteran actor Sunny Deol, calling him a “father figure” in his life. Ahan, shares screen space with Sunny Deol in Border 2, said that the respect he holds for the senior star also comes from the intense regard his father, Suniel Shetty, has for him. The film theatrically releases on January 23⁶

Over an interview Ahan Shetty recalled on the support and encouragement shown towards him by Sunny amidst the making of Border 2.
Adding that when his father (Suniel Shetty) talks about Sunny, he calls him Sunny Paa. So, if his father calls Sunny sir Sunny Paa, then you can imagine the respect he holds for him. Border is of Sunny and him, Varun, and Diljit as the supporting pillars. So, for him to accept him the way he has, it means a lot. As Ahan says he supported him in a very good way. He pushed him.
Notably, Border shaped Ahan Shetty’s early dreams and the film left a lasting impact on him as a child.
He was very young when Border was released. He fell in love with the Indian army after watching the film
and dreamt of joining the Indian Army. However, down the line, when he participated in school dramas, he decided to become and his dream of becoming started with Border.

Reflecting on how things came full circle, Ahan recalled conversations from the time of his debut film Tadap.

Amidst the promotions of Tadap, many asked him if he could be a part of one of his father’s films, which film would you like to do? And he shot back obviously Border. So, maybe this was a manifestation
