Actress Bhavana opens up on her first state award

In her recent media interaction, actress Bhavana now all set for the release of her new film ‘Anomie’said that when she won the Kerala State Film Award Special Jury Mention for her performance in the movie ‘Nammal’ she did not understand how big it actually was. Adding that she was very young then and did not really know how much people respected such awards.
The actress also reminisced her first foreign trip saying that
her first international trip in life happened because she had to shoot the song Karuppinazhaku in the film Swapnakoodu.
Until then, the farthest she had travelled was Chennai.

Bhavana also added that the song was shot in Switzerland, Vienna and Austria and that the film even starts with that song and amidst that time, such an idea felt very fresh and new.

On how acting came into her life, Bhavana said that she had no plans for an acting career. She said things just happened one after another. She also shared that even as a small child she always wanted to become an actress and she used to tell everyone the same. The chance came into her hands after she finished her 10th standard. That is when ‘Nammal’, ‘Chronic Bachelor’ and ‘Swapnakoodu’ came into her life one by one. She said it still feels like a dream when she looks back.
Explains why she didn’t realise the importance of her award, she said “even when she received the State Government’s Special Jury Mention for her performance in Nammal, I never understood the seriousness and importance of the award. But that she understood the value much later when people kept reminding her how special it was for someone so young to achieve that kind of recognition. She said she is grateful now because she knows how much love the audience gave her at such a young age.

Meanwhile Bhavana’s next film ‘Anomie’ hits the theatres on February 6. She said the film is not just a normal investigation story as it goes deeper and shows another side of investigation in a very creative way. In the movie she plays Sara, a forensic analyst.
