It’s a fact in the Indian film industry that both Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah are known to comment on actors for various reasons.
Now in a conversation with the media. Ratna Pathak Shah has lauded Alia Bhatt saying that she was very attentive and never attempts to be cutesy-poo on set unlike other young actresses.She used to be at the monitor all the time – not when she was acting, but when others were performing. She observed very carefully and that she didn’t talk much, which is surprising because young actresses seem to feel the need to be the cute entertainer on set all the time. They believe that being a cute person will help them. It just makes them bad performers in many cases. Not Alia. Ratna was much impressed by her.
She kept herself very quiet and she doesn’t think they exchanged more than a few words amidst shooting for
“Kapoor and Sons”.
Unfortunately they never shared any scenes together. But Ratna noted Alia was extremely gifted and focused and liked her.
