Macron is on an official 3-day visit to India amid February 17 and 19 at the invitation of
PM Modi. This is the President’s fourth visit to India and his first ever visit to Mumbai

Reportedly at 3:15 pm the two leaders held bilateral engagements at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. In the midst of these engagements, they reviewed the progress made in the India-France Strategic Partnership. Their discussions focused on cementing the strategic partnership and further diversifying it into new and emerging areas. Prime Minister Modi and President Macron also exchanged views on issues of regional and global importance. t
At 5:15 pm, the two leaders inaugurated the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 and addressed a gathering of business leaders, start-ups, researchers, and other innovators from both countries.
Following engagements in Mumbai, the French President and the Prime Minister will travel to New Delhi to attend the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
