Notedly, on February 22, 2026, the Senior Bachchan announced he would temporarily pause his long-standing Sunday tradition of greeting fans outside his Jalsa bungalow in Mumbai, citing a need for rest due to a “compressed” and demanding work schedule.
In a message on his Tumblr blog, he expressed regret, saying, “Sunday here .. but none at the Jalsa Gate, apologetically advised fans not to travel to his residence, asking them to “save the energy of travel” and promised to resume the tradition soon. This rare interruption follows his recent work on projects like Vettaiyan and upcoming roles in Kalki 2898 AD and Section 84.
