Amid rumors of LPG supply shortages caused by the conflict in West Asia, Prime Minister Modi has issued a strong message of reassurance, urging citizens not to panic.

The Prime Minister advised the public not to pay attention to rumors regarding a LPG shortage.
Modi assured that the government is prioritizing the needs of citizens, similar to how it handled the COVID-19 pandemic.
He requested that citizens rely only on verified information rather than rumors. The government has directed oil refineries to maximize LPG production to ensure uninterrupted supply for domestic consumers.
Regarding domestic supply, the government is actively monitoring the situation to ensure that the 100% supply of domestic LPG is maintained, while potentially limiting supplies to commercial entities, as reported in the media.

Higher output may only offer partial relief, meeting only half of India’s demand.
Meanwhile, MK Stalin, Tamil Nadu, CM and Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, have urged Modi to ensure uninterrupted LPG supplies and take steps to cushion consumers from rising prices.
