As of March 19, 2026, the legal situation surrounding YouTuber Elvish Yadav has seen significant developments, with the Supreme Court of India quashing the primary criminal case against him.
Major cases and legal controversies involving Elvish Yadav:
- Snake Venom & Rave Party Case (Noida)Â
In November 2023, an FIR was filed against Yadav and others alleging the use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested on March 17, 2024, by Noida Police and charged under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, the NDPS Act, and the IPC. He was granted bail on March 22, 2024.
On March 19, 2026, the Supreme Court of India quashed the FIR, chargesheet, and proceedings, citing that the complaint was not filed by an authorized person under the Wildlife Act and that the IPC charges were based on an earlier flawed investigation.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) initiated a PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) investigation into the alleged illegal use of protected snakes and exotic animals in music videos and the alleged financial transactions related to the snake venom scandal. The ED alleged that Yadav generated, acquired, and possessed “proceeds of crime” worth ₹84,000 from a video featuring protected wildlife.
The ED has attached assets/properties belonging to Elvish Yadav and singer Rahul Yadav (Fazilpuria), including bank accounts and land. A prosecution complaint (chargesheet) was filed in October 2025. In March 2024, a video went viral showing Elvish Yadav and his associates assaulting fellow YouTuber Sagar Thakur (known as Maxtern) in Gurugram. A FIR was registered against him in Gurgaon.
The case was withdrawn after the two parties decided to make peace, and Yadav was granted bail.
In August 2025, his Gurugram home was targeted in a shooting incident. The “Bhau Gang” allegedly claimed responsibility, leading to an ongoing police investigation. He was accused in a case involving a stolen flower pot, but he denied involvement.
Several complaints were filed against him for using snakes in videos and making offensive comments, including those against Arjun Bijlani and Kusha Kapila.
