Hrithik Roshan loved the script of the 2004 film Hum Tum and called it “pure gold.” However, due to a lack of confidence, he turned down the role, which later went to Saif Ali Khan. As per Hrithik he did not have the confidence to take on that kind of role at that time.
Following this rejection, the role went to Saif Ali Khan, who won the National Award for Best Actor for it.
