Mona Singh opens up on climax scene for Aryan Khan’s The Ba*ds of Bollywood

Actress Mona Singh has called the filming of a “climax” scene for Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, the Netflix series Stardom (earlier titled The Ba*ds of Bollywood), as “tricky” and a “meta-moment” that brought back memories of her dancing days.

Mona Singh revealed that she had to dance to the song “Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela” (from Gupt) in the climax.
The shoot was considered tricky because her co-star, Bobby Deol, was not physically present on set. “We had to match the steps and everything was done on VFX later,” she explained.
SRK’s Visit: Adding to her nervousness, Shah Rukh Khan visited the set to visit his son, Aryan, while also shooting for an ad nearby.
Mona admitted to Aryan that it was uncomfortable to perform such a high-stakes scene with his father watching, stating, she told Aryan, can’t dance like this in front of dad!'”. She noted the difficulty of moving from a “dark, gritty world” after filming Kohrra season 2 to a high-energy, flashy Bollywood climax.

Stardom is a six-episode series set against the backdrop of the film industry, focusing on an “outsider navigating the glitzy yet tricky world of Bollywood”.
Aryan Khan has been described by Mona as very clear in his vision, particular about lines, yet collaborative.
The series features a young cast including Lakshya and Sahher Bambba, with several high-profile cameos, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh.
Mona Singh, who plays a pivotal role in the project, expressed high pride in Aryan Khan’s work, saying his success feels personal.
