Shruti Haasan has officially collaborated with Prime Video in their series “Call Me Bae” Season 2 featuring Ananya Panday as per announcement made on 19 March.
She is described as a “new sister” (new behen) character, bringing a “boho-chic” style to the show. The new season follows Bae’s journey as a news anchor, with added, complex drama.
The story picks up with Bae (Ananya Panday) working as a news anchor while managing a complicated personal life, torn between her boss and her returning ex-husband. The series is produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and was announced at the “Prime Video Presents: India” event.
The new season will continue to feature stars like Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Varun Sood.
The first look has already generated significant buzz, with the teaser highlighting a “same code, new behen” theme.
