Mitti Ki”
This song holds a special connection to PM Modi, as the lyrics were directly inspired by lines he spoke in a speech.
Prior to recording, Lata Mangeshkar expressed that she was listening to Prime Minister Modi’s speech and was intensely touched by a few lines of a poem he recited regarding the bravery of soldiers and the nation.
She felt the words truly represented the “Mann Ki Baat” (voice of the heart) of every Indian.
Moved by the speech, she recorded the song to dedicate it to the Indian Army and the people of the country.
The song was released on March 30, 2019, and Prime Minister Modi later expressed his gratitude for the affection and blessings she showed through this song.
