Arvind Trivedi (popularly known as Raavan in Ramayan) “slapped” Hema Malini in the midst of shoot for the 1979 released film.
Arvind Trivedi was playing an antogonisye in the film and had to slap the lead actress, Hema Malini, in a specific scene.
Trivedi was initially hesitant and nervous about raising his hand to a major star like Hema Malini, causing him to take 20 takes to complete the shot.
The film was Prem Sagar directorial.
As per the filmmaker Hema Malini had to tell Arvind to forget that she was a huge star and perform the scene normally for perfection.
Arvind Trivedi is a noted theater and character actor who gained immense popularity later, but at the time of this film, he was cautious about delivering an authentic slap to a senior actress.
This anecdote was shared by director Prem Sagar following Arvind Trivedi’s passing away in 2021.
