When the year 2000 marked a turning point for Indian Cinema -Entry ofHrithik Roshan

The year 2000 saw a new millennium, a new Bollywood with the entry of Hrithik Roshan making his debut in his actor-turned father Rakesh Roshan’ s directorial “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai”.

His entry nearly shook up the three Khans Shah Rukh Khan Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. In other words he challenged their monopoly.

His entry caused a “cultural reset” or, as often described, a massive “phenomenon”.

He emerged as a national sensation instantly, a level of debut popularity not seen in Bollywood in years.
The film became a “cinematic supernova”, with his dancing and acting forcing an evolution in Bollywood standards.
Kayo Na Pyaar Hai won the most awards of any Bollywood film (at that time) and made him the top choice, momentarily eclipsing the established 3 Khans.
Hrithik changed the “rhythm” of Bollywood, turning dancing into a key, high-skill requirement for male leads.
If no exaggeration Hrithik was a
Game-changer.
