At the 2017 Star Screen Awards, though paying tribute to his “senior” and friend Vinod Khanna, indisputably the legend of Indian Cinema Amitabh Bachchan used the words “swagger” and “unique” to call Vinod Khanna noting, “no one walked the way he did”.
Bachchan called Vinod as having a “confident charm” and an “optimistic swagger,” showcasing his casual and relaxed nature.
He characterized Vinod’s journey as leading a “very positive, unique life,” noting his transition from leading man to spirituality and politics.
Bachchan openly acknowledged,Vinod was his senior, but he never made him feel that he (Bachchan) was his junior.
After Khanna’s death in April 2017, Bachchan also referred to him in his blog as a “friend,” “colleague,” and a “body of enthused energy”.

Alas the Amitabh-Vinod association that spanned 48 years came to an end.
