Honey Singh, Badshah in legal hassles over controversial track ‘Volume 1’

Reportedly, The Delhi High Court has ordered the removal of the 2006 song “Volume 1” by Honey Singh and Badshah from all online platforms, including social media and streaming services, citing its content as “grossly vulgar,” obscene, and derogatory towards women.

As per the court, 3 lyrics cannot be defended as artistic freedom and shocked the “conscience of the court to its absolute core”.

Platforms have been directed to immediately block the track and ensure even short clips, fragments, or remixes are taken down. The petition was filed by an organization named Hindu Shakti Dal, objecting to the provocative nature of the lyrics.
