DC refers copyright dispute amid Aditya Dhar and Trimurti Films over ‘Oye Oye’ song in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ through mediation

The Delhi High Court has referred the copyright dispute between Trimurti Films and Aditya Dhar’s B62 Studios over the song “Rang De Lal (Oye Oye)” in Dhurandhar 2 to mediation. The court, noting the issue is primarily financial, did not order an immediate takedown of the song. The parties are directed to appear at the mediation center on April 22, 2026.

It’s Trimurti Films’ allegation of unauthorised use of the iconic
“Tirchi Topiwala” song from the 1989 released film Tridev.
The disputed track is “Rang De Lal (Oye Oye)” featuring in the Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar 2.
Justice Tushar Rao Gedela have issued directives to both parties to the Delhi High Court Mediation Centre.
The case is scheduled for further hearing on May 6, 2026.
