Mumbai Traffic Police announces traffic diversions for 1 year over Dadar metro underground railway station

On the grounds of construction work for Dadar Metro underground railway station traffic movement will be affected between Lt. Anna Tipnis Chowk (Steelman Junction) to Gadkari Chowk.
Hence taking this in view, the Mumbai Traffic Police announces a set of traffic arrangements in the city for one year from today 30 March 2023.

As per notification, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) will be building the underground Dadar Metro Railway station under Metro Line 3, Project4, due to which the traffic between Lt. Anna Tipnis Chowk (Steelman Junction) to Gadkari Chowk will be apparently affected.
The diversion comes into effect from today for a year, till March 2024.

Traffic diversions in Mumbai for construction of underground Dadar Metro station
As per the new traffic arrangement, the northbound of Gokhale road between Gadkari Chowk to Lt. Anna Tipnis Chowk (Steelman Junction) will be closed for vehicular traffic. While southbound the same will remain open. However, both north and southbound will be declared as a ‘No Parking’ zone for the next 24 hours.

On the Ranade Road in Dadar, vehicular traffic will not be allowed from Senapati Bapat statue towards the Steelman Junction making it a ‘One Way’ for traffic moving from Steelman Junction towards the Senapati Bapat statue.

Vehicular traffic coming from the Portuguese Church along the northbound of Gokhale road will have to take a left turn from Lt. Anna Tipnis Chowk (Steelman Junction) and then proceed along Ranade Road, Dadasaheb Rege Road, Gadkari Junction and then towards their destination.

Vehicular traffic moving towards the Dadar T.T shall take a right turn from Lt. Anna Tipnis Chowk (Steelman Junction) then along the Ranade Road, Paneri Junction, they shall take left turn to NC Kelkar Road, Kotwal Garden and proceed towards the Dadar TT.
