Meanwhile, in a political development, Congress party leader Jitendra Awhad tendered his resignation as general secretary.

Reportedly, Chaotic scenes unfolded amid the launch of the second edition of Pawar’s autobiography on Tuesday following the the announcement by the political heavyweight of stepping down as the president of NCP. Later, Ajit Pawar intervened to assert that Sharad Pawar has asked for two to three days to reconsider his decision.

While announcing his decision, Pawar made it known that he has three years tenure remaining in Rajya Sabha. Nevertheless he is in no mood to contest elections henceforth.

In these three years, he intends to give more concentrate on issues concerned to state and the country and will not take up any additional responsibilities.

Sharad Pawar started his political career on May 1, 1960. On Monday he celebrated May day. After this prolonged political career, one must think about stopping somewhere. One must not be greedy. He will never take a position of sticking to a post after so many years. Therefore, you might feel uneasy. But it is his final decision to retire from the post of the NCP chief.

His resignation comes as a collosal loss for politics but won’t affect MVA, say coalition leaders.

Meanwhile, according to Congress’ Nana Patole It will not impact Maha Vikas Aghadi.
