Janhvi Kapoor postpones Delhi shoot of patriotic thriller ‘Ulajh’ due to floods
The unexpected heavy rainfall and rising water levels of the Yamuna River has impacted on the Delhi shoot for the Jhanvi Kapoor starrer ‘Ulajh” a patriotic thriller.
An approximately 15 days shoot for the film was Initially planned to start from July 10.
According to reports, the entire team, including Janhvi Kapoor, was prepared to arrive in Delhi on June 10.
However, the plan had to be postponed. The shooting was scheduled to take place in various iconic locations in Delhi, such as Old Delhi, Red Fort, Qutub Minar,Lajpat Nagar market, and other monuments, including areas in South Delhi.
Given the current circumstances and the paramount importance of safety, the team had no choice but to delay the shoot. The makers have not yet decided on an alternative location but they plan to resume shooting in Delhi in mid-August, capturing the intended locations as originally planned.
Meanwhile, actors Karan Wahi
and Maanvi Gagroo managed to complete their shoot for an upcoming web series just before the onset of heavy rainfall.
Fortunately, they avoided any disruption and were spared the need to halt the shoot midway. The team has been in touch to ensure their well-being, and they are relieved to have wrapped up their schedule in a timely manner.
Notwithstanding the unforeseen challenges posed by the flood crisis, the production team of ‘Ulajh’ aims to resume shooting in Delhi once conditions improve.
On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor is also gearing up for the release of her next film ‘Bawaal’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.The film sees Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead.
