Anupam Kher had been married to actress Madhumalti Kapoor before the two parted ways after less than a year. Anupam Kher got married to Madhumalti in 1979 but their marriage ended in the same year.
Anupam and Madhumalti met each other while the two were studying at the National School of Drama (NSD). Anupam Kher and Madhumalti became good friends during their time at NSD.
As pet reports, Anupam and Madhumalti’s marriage was an arranged and the two buckled under family pressure to tie the knot. Anupam Kher was reportedly against the idea of getting married to Madhumalti and this seems to be the reason why their marriage ended within a year.
Few years after parting ways with Madhumalti Kapoor, Anupam Kher met Kirron Kher and the two got married in 1985. On the other hand, Madhumalti married director Ranjit Kapoor. Madhumalti Kapoor is still active in Bollywood and she was last seen in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra.
