Amitabh Bachchan calls family ‘mini India’ on KBC – daughter marries Punjabi, son marries South Indian

Amitabh Bachchan set in motion the Family Special Week on his show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15.

The legendary actor talked on his family and opened up how they have people from across the country and touched on Abhishek and Shweta’s spouses.

In the latest episode, he interacted with contestants Chamatkari Chattopadhyay, Dhrubarub, Sunirmala and Nandita. During the show, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about his family and revealed how they have people from across the country. He touched on Abhishek and Shweta’s spouses.

The family topic came up when contestant Chattopadhyay talked on being stuck amidst his mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

The senior Bachchan went on to add that he can completely understand, even he gets sandwiched at home with everyone around.
However, what he likes the best is the fact that his family is so diverse. His daughter (Shweta Bachchan) got married to a Punjab and his son (Abhishek Bachchan) got married to a South Indian.
They have people from all across the country, and it’s like a mini India and they love it.

For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot with actor Aishwarya Rai in 2007 and have a daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. On the other hand, Amitabh’s daughter Shweta Bachchan tied the knot to businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997. Nikhil is the son of industrialist Rajan Nanda and his wife Ritu Nanda is the daughter of Raj Kapoor.

Shweta and Nikhil have two kids, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda. Although Navya is in no mood to enter the Indian Film Industry, Agastya gears has made his debut in Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Notedly, Amitabh often talks about his family on the show.

Noteably, Amitabh has been hosting the show for years now and over the years the season has undergone some changes like the addition of the Super Sandook round which now enables the contestant to recover their losses in the midst of the game.

Apart this, a new life line called Double Dip has been added.
Yet another element, Desh Ka Sawal, has been added as a part of the game to ensure public participation.
