Shah Rukh Khan won abundant love and appreciation for his last film, ‘Jawan’.

Although the film emerged very popular, some viewers noted that a particular dialogue delivered by his character Vikram Rathore, stating
“Bete ko haath lagane se pehle…”was an indirect reference to the Aryan Khan case.

For the unversed, Aryan, SRK’s son, had faced allegations of drug possession but was ultimately acquitted of all charges.

Responding to this dialogue, Sameer Wankhede, the investigating officer in Aryan’s case, described it as ‘roadside’.
In a recent interview Sameer shared his perspective on the dialogue, characterizing it as rather roadside. He clarified that he doesn’t typically watch movies or pay attention to dialogues, thus lacking knowledge on this specific film.

Neverthless, if the dialogue was aimed at him, he conveyed a preference for responding in English. Drawing inspiration from another writer, Sameer alluded to a history of involvement in actions resulting in burnt houses and bridges.
He emphasized a lack of fear for any consequences, suggesting there’s no need for intimidation.

Having said that, Sameer refrained from delving into details over the ongoing case, emphasizing its legal status. When asked about his past interactions with Shah Rukh Khan, he conveyed that those encounters were consistently affable and that he can’t discuss the case, but in the meetings before, it was always friendly. Both the Khans and Sameer knew each other quite well.

Earlier this year, there were accusations against Sameer Wankhede, claiming that he had attempted to extort money from SRK to secure the release of his son, Aryan, from custody.

Aryan had been detained for a month following the 2021 Cordelia cruise drug bust. Amidst this period, Sameer presented messages purportedly sent by Shah Rukh Khan, asserting that there was no evidence to support the claim that he was seeking financial compensation from the star. He was very well aware of the fact that such allegations are a common part in casses like these.

Wankhede’s plea stated that allegations pertaining to the arrest of Aryan Khan being only an attempt for demanding money in exchange of his release are blatantly false and can be clearly seen from the messages sent by Shahrukh Khan himself amidst the time Aryan was in the custody of NCB. Shahrukh Khan has, via his messages, clearly portrayed that he has no grievances against the Petitioner and has only requested to be kind to his son.
On the one hand, where the dialogue from SRK’s last release is still the talk of the town, his latest project ‘Dunki’ is keeping the audience entertained.
Released on December 21, ‘Dunki’ opened up with mix response. The box office number don’t match with the last releases of Khan; however, the trade experts mention that it is not fair to compair SRK’s last two movies with the latest one, as they were action dramas, where ‘Dunki’ is from a completely different genre.
